The Ateliers LAURENCHET were founded in 1947 by henry LAURENCHET .

Management was taken over by his son Jean-Paul Laurenchet in 1972 shortly after he was joined by his brothers, Jacques as sales manager and Michel as production manager. The three of them being his class bookbinders .
The compagny is spécialised in bookbinding and restauration and has three departments.

- Bookbinding, lettering for public or private libraries and administrations .
- Bookbinding, tooling and restauration of old or precious books .
- This department has an huge quantity of old papers and a collection of bookbinders type that allows it to make any kind of tooling from 16 th century to modern style .
- Restauration of archives , papers, books, registers, map and so on.
