After having trained at the Beaux Arts in Rouen, Jean Quentier chose a rare specialty and has become an expert in the art of illusion painting and imitations. After beginning his trade at Pérille's, where he was in charge of restoring the large apartments of the Castle of Fontainebleau, he created his own workshop in 1967 where he now works with his wife.
The quality of his work has rapidly attracted numerous prestigious customers, decorators, Parisian celebrities and companies. He invents mixes, varnishes and compounds that allow him to imitate marble, granite, lapis lazuli and woods. Each creation is as diversified as the next, giving the illusion of the real thing, not only to the eye, but to the touch as well.
